Elastic Modulus Prediction Model of Foamed Concrete Based on the Walsh Formula

Foamed concrete consists of cement matrix and air-foam has more complicated structure characteristics than normal concrete. However, current research on the elastic modulus foamed is still limited to empirical equations. In this work, a new theoretical prediction model was proposed for calculating The calculation spherical shell element constructed based Walsh formula assumption pores. Moreover, established by introducing two-layer embedded Then, compressive test employed verify accuracy model. results show that decreases with increase in porosity Poisson’s ratio, increases modulus. can improve mechanical theories materials have good engineering application values.
